Graphite-coated nickel-iron base electrode for cold welding of grey cast iron with lamellae and globular graphite structure. Also suitable for joining cast iron (GGL and GGG qualities) with unalloyed steels. The weld metal alloy consists mainly of core wire, 60% Ni and 40% Fe. The weld metal is machinable and has a high breaking strength. It is very similar in color to the base material and can also be corrected subsequently in this way. The soft welding electrode has good wetting properties.
